Guardians of Hohn

Around a campfire at Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation, a simple idea took root: slow down, dream big, and shape a better future for our camp. That idea became the Guardians of Hohn.

This special group is made up of people who care deeply about the camp—former staff, alumni, current Scouters, and neighbors—working together to ensure it remains a place where young people grow, lead, and create lifelong memories.

As a Guardian, you’ll make a meaningful impact through financial support, hands-on volunteer work, and fellowship with others who share your passion. In 2025, Guardian-supported projects included:

  • Campsite & Program: Campsite shower in Dan Beard/Baden Powell, picnic tables, split rail fencing, gravel for roads and trails
  • Outdoor Program: Frisbee golf course, golf carts
  • Safety & Health: AED, HVAC mini split unit, lockers for staff restrooms
  • Facilities: Outdoor Skills & Trading Post storage sheds
  • Tools & Equipment: Limb saws, loppers, chainsaw headgear, splitting mauls
  • Vehicle & Machinery: Skid steer tires & rims, backhoe repair

Joining is easy—just $10 per month. While funding is vital, your presence at workdays is equally valuable. Together, we’re building a stronger, more vibrant camp for future Scouts to explore, learn, and lead.

We invite you to join or renew your membership in the Guardians of Hohn for 2026. Your support helps preserve and enhance this remarkable place for generations to come.

Thank you for being part of the Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation story.
