Start here for adventure!

This guide outlines the entire Cub Scout year for your Pack. But don’t worry about reading it cover to cover. Simply work these Six Steps, and distribute the sections to the appropriate Den Leaders and Pack Leaders.

Check the Book

Flip to the two contents pages at the front. You should have Part One (Running the Pack), Part Two (Den Leader Guides) and Part Three (Adventure Meeting Plans).

Put Sections in Binders

Every guide and every rank section starts on a right-hand page, so the book pulls apart cleanly along those breaks. 3-hole punch it, split it by section, print double sided, and tab each one.

Distribute Sections

Den Leaders receive their den guide,
plus the six adventure plans for their rank.

Cubmaster and Committee Chair
receives their own role guides, and the full
Program Guide if requested.

Don’t Jump Ahead

Every guide opens with an “If you read nothing else” box. Ten minutes on that box tells you what your job is this year. The rest of your guide is there for the week you actually need it.

Fill in the Blanks

The contacts page at the back of each guide and the camp dates page are meant to be written on. Fill in names, phone numbers, meeting place, and your camp week now, while you have the book open.

Put in Calendar

Copy “your year at a glance” into your phone and the pack calendar, then share it with families. Dates that live only in a binder do not get attended.
