This fall, the Great Rivers Council is bringing Scouts an exciting lineup of outdoor adventures, leadership opportunities, skill development, conservation projects, and unforgettable experiences through the 2026 Fall Camporee Series.
Whether you’re a female Scout interested in conservation, a patrol looking to test your skills against other units, or a Scout ready to embark on a medieval adventure, this year’s series offers something for everyone. The Fall Camporee Series includes three unique events across three months, giving Scouts multiple opportunities to camp, learn, serve, and make memories with fellow Scouts from across the council.
🐻 Outdoor Skills Academy (OSA)
September 18-20, 2026 | Sinquefield Reserve | Westphalia, MO
The Fall Camporee Series kicks off with the return of Outdoor Skills Academy (OSA), a conservation-focused event designed specifically for female Scouts.
OSA, which means “female bear,” provides participants with opportunities to explore conservation, contribute meaningful service, and begin working toward the prestigious BSA Distinguished Conservation Service Award.
Scouts will participate in a conservation service project and have the opportunity to work on merit badges such as:
- Soil and Water Conservation
- Fish and Wildlife Management
- Sustainability
- Forestry
In addition to educational programming, participants will receive event beads and a program booklet while connecting with female Scouts from throughout the council.
Although camping is optional, it is highly encouraged as a way to build friendships and strengthen connections between troops.

🏕️ Grand Prairie’s Third Annual Scouts BSA Fall Camporee
October 9-11, 2026 | Rothwell Park | Moberly, MO
Next in the series is the Grand Prairie Fall Camporee, a weekend designed to challenge patrols, strengthen teamwork, and celebrate the spirit of Scouting.
Saturday morning will feature patrol-based competitions that test Scout skills from Tenderfoot through First Class. Patrols will tackle challenges involving:
- Orienteering
- Pioneering
- Teamwork
- Scout knowledge
- Problem-solving
- Surprise events
To maximize participation and engagement, the event will be limited to 18 patrols with recommended patrol sizes of six to seven Scouts.
After the morning competitions, Scouts can enjoy an afternoon of open activities throughout Rothwell Park, including:
- Archery
- Disc Golf
- Hiking
- Fishing
- Merit Badge opportunities
- Recreational activities
The weekend concludes with a conservation-focused service project on Sunday morning, allowing Scouts to give back while earning service hours.

⚔️ Knightly Quest & Medieval Encampment
November 13-15, 2026 | Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation
The Fall Camporee Series concludes with one of the most unique Scouting events ever offered by the Great Rivers Council.
Knightly Quest & Medieval Encampment transforms the Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation into a medieval kingdom where Scouts become knights, artisans, craftsmen, and adventurers for an immersive weekend experience.
Limited to just 56 Scouts and 28 adults, participants will enjoy:
- A Medieval Knightly Feast
- Archery tournaments
- Chess competitions
- Creative arts projects
- Shield and family crest creation
- Hobby horse jousting
- Interactive medieval-themed programming
Each Scout will choose one of four specialized “Realms”:
🛡️ Drakmor Realm
Leatherworking and creation of a custom leather pouch or satchel.
🧵 Windhaven Realm
Fabric design, sewing, and construction of a personalized cloak.
🪵 Elderwood Realm
Woodworking projects using traditional and modern tools.
🔥 Emberstone Realm (Age 14+)
Blacksmithing experiences and hands-on metalworking projects.
Participants will receive an extensive swag package that includes a limited-edition patch, long-sleeve event shirt, camping bead, program materials, and take-home projects. Meals and cracker barrels are included throughout the weekend, highlighted by the special Saturday evening Knightly Feast.
Scouts may also complete requirements toward multiple merit badges while participating in the themed activities.
